HOUSTON — The four-person Artemis II crew has officially returned to NASA’s Johnson Space Center following their historic mission to the Moon. Astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen (CSA) were reunited with their families and colleagues after completing the first crewed lunar flight in over 50 years.

The mission, which launched on April 1, saw the crew travel a record-setting 252,756 miles from Earth. During their 10-day journey, they passed within 4,067 miles of the lunar surface, successfully testing the systems required for deep-space exploration. Following a successful splashdown in the Pacific Ocean on April 10, the crew will now undergo a series of medical evaluations and science debriefings to help pave the way for future Moon landings.
